Application of the Latin American Seismic Model Code for Updating Building Norms or Standards in LATAM and Caribbean Countries

This training program aims to strengthen the capacity of professionals in the technical guidelines and recommendations for the design and construction of structures in seismic zones, as defined by the Latin American Seismic Model Code (CMLS), based on seismic experiences in Chile and Japan. This program aims to update standards in the region and reduce the seismic vulnerability of buildings. The course will be conducted online on November 03 - 07, 2025 and in-person on November 10 – 14, 2025.
