Course Overview

The aim of this course is to provide the tools necessary to understand and analyse volcanic activity, through the lens of a natural process that strongly affects society that can generate hazards and cause damage to life and infrastructure.

Additionally, the course aims to train participants to handle crises involving volcanoes so they can play an active and informed role in assessing public policies and programmes, applying real data and cases that allow for the identification of best practices, while recognising the relevance and limitations of each technique.
