Sale of Government Property to Public Officers and the Public
- Eligible public officers in authorised occupation may be given first option to purchase.
- Vacant, dilapidated or unauthorised-tenancy quarters may be sold via public auction.
- Official residences such as President’s House, PM’s Residence and the Commissioner of Police residence are not for sale.
Requirements for Sale of Quarters
- Site visit to assess suitability
- Application to purchase
- Proof of legal occupation
- Survey plan
- Valuation report
- Cabinet approval
- Letter of offer and acceptance
- 10% deposit
- Agreement for Sale (to be completed within 90 days)
Lease or Rental of Private Property for Government Use
- Appropriate location and space
- Deed or proof of ownership (plus authority if acting on owner's behalf)
- Town and Country Planning approval for office use
- Certificate of Completion from Municipal Corporation
- Rental agreement based on certified valuation
